Wood Shelters
Overview
Since 1964, Cedar Forest Products has been supplying wood shelters and pavilions to meet the wide-ranging needs of its customers. CFP uses glue-laminated timber, or glulam, as it is a highly innovative construction material. Pound for pound, glulam is stronger than steel and has greater strength and stiffness than comparably sized dimensional lumber. The natural beauty of wood helps to enrich the landscape in any setting. Standard features include:
Pre-Engineered designs
- Each shelter is pre-engineered to meet or exceed local building requirements
- Stamped and sealed drawings and calculations completed by a structural engineer to meet a project’s state and local building codes
Structural frame
- Glulam Southern Yellow Pine (SYP)
- Each shelter is designed to meet the local snow and wind loads
- All metal connectors have a factory applied powder coat finish in Railing Black
Columns
- Port Orford Cedar columns – direct embedded in concrete footings
- Port Orford Cedar provides superior resistance against rot and decay
